The Cheese Steak Shop

To the franchisee of this establishment, You need to get your management in order when you’re not present, because your employees are taking advantage of paying customers and the service is noticeably suffering. As shown in the photos below, these are the three regular curly fries that we ordered. I would like an explanation for how these portions qualify as “regular,” because they clearly do not. I’m not asking for a refund or sympathy — I’m letting you know exactly how your establishment operates when you’re not around. This is unacceptable for a business serving paying customers.

I hate to leave these types of reviews but here it goes. I have been to the Cheese Steak Shop in San Remon several times and have always enjoyed the food. And today was no different. The Cheese Steak was exactly what I have come to expect from a Cheese Steak Shop, the best Cheese Steaks I have have had outside of Philly. We were warmly greeted and order taking was without issues. But the place was filthy. Tables needed to be cleaned; there was food on the floor; the condiment area needed to be cleaned and restocked; and the fountain drink dispenser had mold/slime behind and below the ice push. Grease blew bottom of foil bag out. One expects some greasiness, but damn... Picture says it all. 2 stars because workers were cool, at least.

When I moved into the Bay Area back in 1998 in Pleasanton I started to go to The Cheesesteak Shop and I haven't stopped since then. Great place to get a Philly cheese steak sandwich and some curly fries. The staff is friendly and the cost is just right. Come check it out!

These are good cheese steaks. How they are meant it to be! Bread is soft, meat is good. Get the onions and hot peppers. Staff were really chill. Don’t forget to tip!
