The Chop House

Our experience at The Chop House at Tanger Outlet Mall was wonderful! It was the occasion of our forty-fifth wedding anniversary. We did have a moderate wait time, but we were seated in front of the fireplace which set a beautiful mood for our special occasion. Our server was very kind and cheerful and attentive to us without being overly attentive. The manager came by our table because a substitution in something we ordered had to be made, but that was seamless and went very well. Our food was served and it was absolutely delicious! As we finished our main course, our server surprised us with a card and complementary dessert to celebrate our anniversary! We were both bowled over by that special gesture! The dessert was delicious, the meal was exceptionally good and the service was perfect

The table we got was next to the exhaust fan of the kitchen and it was so loud you couldn’t hear the background music. We asked to be seated elsewhere and the second table was much better! We ordered the sirloin steak and the mahi-mahi. the steak was good and the onion rings were super good! Fried to perfection, super crisp but not oily at all! The fish dish was super small and it was overcooked and therefore dry and yet it still had a fishy flavor to it! I mixed it with a lot of tartar sauce to be able to eat it. The server was fine but at one point he got overwhelmed with guests and did not come back to our table for a while so I had to refill my wine myself. Not a big deal, but some restaurants think thats important.

We had a great server. Could not say enough good things about her. This was a return visit. I was hear in 2018 and loved it. Liked it this time 😕 Filet mignon was delicious, ordered medium rare and it was a little to rare for us. The lobster tail is why we came back. It was incredible, the parmesan elevates it to another level. It tasted amazing this time but unfortunately it was not completely cooked but it was close enough so we ate it anyway. Burgundy mushrooms and creme brulee corn or both very good.

We started with the deviled eggs topped with candied bacon such a tasty appetizer! For lunch, we had the chicken piccata and crab cakes, both flavorful and perfectly prepared. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere made it a great experience.

First time visiting and it was AMAZING! Husband said one of best steaks he's had!!! My chicken was perfect! Server was excellent! Great dining experience! Will definitely go back!
