The Coffey House Bed & Breakfast

My fiancée and I stayed at the Coffey House and we had an absolutely extraordinary stay. The rooms and accomodations were lovely. (Especially the room with a fireplace.) The breakfast was also top-notch, better than anything you'll get at 99% of of bed & breakfasts. The gaming room downstairs was also so much fun. We played some pool, then relaxed and watched a movie from the wide collection. But above all, the hosts were just so friendly and welcoming. I really can't recommend the Coffey House enough, and we had such a fun time exploring the area.

We stayed at the Coffey House for a wedding in the area and everything was perfect. We were able to check in earlier than the listed time which allowed us to enjoy a day in Greenport before the event. Ellie was more than welcoming and available for whatever we needed. Breakfast was amazing! Homemade, not rushed, plenty of food. Home was warm, clean and maintained the feel for the period it was built but with modern upgrades to the important things like the bathroom! No two-night minimum which is an annoying feature of most locations in the area. Will definitely recommend to others.

I would be remiss if I didn’t apologize for writing this review sooner. On May 10th, my husband and I planned our get away weekend at the Coffey House. We chose the Coffey House because Greenport is one of our favorite quaint towns to visit and every review we read was impressive. Rick and Ellie have created a beautiful romantic atmosphere both indoor and outdoor. When we arrived Rick welcomed us and assisted with bringing our bags to our room which made us feel right at home.This not only included showing us our breathtaking room which included homemade chocolate chip cookies that we could not wait to eat,we additionally had a tour of their spectacular home. There’s nothing better than having all the comforts of home and the feeling of a relaxing get away at The Coffey House B & B. Ellie and Rick have created a beautiful and romantic indoor and outdoor little bit of paradise right outside one of our favorite villages of Greenport. Our fall weekend started with a great breakfast, including the best scones made by Ellie, strolling though Greenport and Southold, stopping at a farm stand, lunch at Claudios, a wine tasting at Kontacosta and back to the Coffey House backyard gazebo to relax before dinner at The Frisky Oyster. Our room, we highly recommend, with the luxurious bathtub and fireplace was the perfect place to come home to with homemade cookies waiting for us on the dresser. We stayed the weekend in this beautiful clean cozy house. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. A quiet place to stay right in the middle of the North Fork perfect distance from the beaches and town of Greenport. Ellie and Rick have amazing attention to detail and it shows because we were so comfortable it felt like home. Starting each day waking up to fresh coffee, Ellies amazing baked good and Ricks main course made with local produce really caps it off..... fair warning you will never leave hungry they have you covered. Ellie even supplied us with a beach pass for the day to get into some of the locals spots. We will visit again and cant be happy enough for what I think is likely the best value in the area.
