Typical American dinner. Food is simple and will fill you up for the day. Don’t expect higher end culinary dishes here. Plain, simple and that’s it. Service is friendly. I had more expectations from the omelette: This was just a mixed egg.
Stumbled upon this amazing spot! Great service, ambience & food. Suzie was so friendly & the customers that were local, made our day! The only thing I have to mention is that the menu on the clipboard is very odd. A rubberband?! That needs to be changed & the awful clipboard 📋 for payment. We will definitely be back!
They have delicious veal specials, not nearly often enough. Their parmigiana preparation was fantastic except the sauce tasted kinda canned, but even so I would order it again and again, but they haven't brought it back. Also had the piccata, next time the francese but I do love an old school parmigiana. (They have those in chicken every day of course. I wonder if they would do shrimp.) Chicken wings are offensively good, delicious, huge, attractively sauced and plated with nice trimmings including a very very chunky Bleu cheese dressing. At $8 the dozen for a happy hour special among others 7 days a week, beat me daddy eight to the bar! Speaking of which, they have live music 4-6 on Wed Thu and Fri. Other good things including pulled pork sliders, the fries are adequate but I dislike coa
Can't beat the place for its location. The restaurant is a one minute walk from the Strickland Road Historical District and also a mere one minute walk to the Sachem Nature Preserve. Noticed that our fellow guests were all regulars who were warmly greeted by the staff. There is ample outdoor seating. We had the crab cakes with sweet potato fries and the Cos Cobber salad. The crab cakes were just OK(hardly any crab meat), but the sweet potato fries were quite good. Didn't take any pictures of the food except for the iced tea and lemonade.
I was asked to leave this diner with my service animal after the staff demanded “papers” and a “certificate”, which is illegal under the ADA. I tried explaining this to them, but they were adamant that I was wrong 😔. I’ve had my service animal for 5 years now. I would have gladly answered the two ADA-approved questions, but no one even bothered to ask 🥺. My dog gave two small barks after the staff became rude and confrontational. To this, the waiter said he was “not acting like a service animal”. This was a really sad experience for me. I hope management receives proper training so that no one else with a disability is treated this way 🙂.
