The Crack Shack - Pacific Beach

i came here expecting delicious chicken based on the reviews/ratings, and got everything but that. i ordered the flock platter to try a bit of everything. i bit into the chicken and thought i lost my taste buds. their chicken is juicy and well cooked but lacks flavour, not even the nice sauces could save them. it appears as if they just batter, fry then sprinkle some sort of seasoning on top. i was excited to try but i left disappointed. i’ll be back for cookies tho, they’re amazing! (might be the only thing with crack in it)😋 Food: - Chicken: 2/10 - Sauces: 10/10 - Biscuits: 8/10 - Cookies: 10/10 - Coleslaw: not my slaw style, but it was good! - Presentation: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 10/10

Crack Shack Pacific Beach: Chicken Sandwich Heaven! ​The Crack Shack in Pacific Beach isn't just serving chicken; they're crafting an experience. Without a doubt, they have the best chicken sandwich I've ever tasted. Every bite is a flavor explosion, featuring incredibly juicy and perfectly fried chicken that avoids any hint of dryness. ​Beyond the sandwiches, their menu is packed with so many creative options—and honestly, everything on it is great. It's the perfect spot whether you want a hearty meal or something lighter. ​The service was quick, efficient, and genuinely awesome, making the entire visit a breeze. Fay was great and had awesome suggestions. Plus, if you're looking for value, their happy hour specials are fantastic. This spot is a must-visit for any fried chicken lover!

Tenders are just solid nothing crazy. The sandwiches are definitely better. Fries are crazy good. They also use very fresh chicken which i love. Sauce game is off he charts. The yellow one I think it’s Hawaiian mustard is to die for very sweet. Orange one super tasty as well. Don’t love their take on BBQ at all but don’t matter. I’ve been here a several times and I’m always happy with price and experience. They do take a while to prepare you food but it is what it is.

We had heard reviews of the Crack Shack from the food channel and decided to check out the Pacific Beach location in San Diego. We loved the Katsu Lookin' sandwich, fries and mini biscuits with miso butter. Everything was chef kiss fresh and flavorful! Johnny is a delightful man who did the cooking and served us himself. We are going to try the original Crack Shack in Little Italy before we leave the area.

Visited July 7th, LUNCH OMG, I love providing reviews but this one takes the cake, or rather chicken! Now, it was our daughter and my 1st time and potentially our only but I must say, not forgettable. While our travel companions went across the way to In-and-Out Burger, I wanted to go somewhere new and not on our side is the country. Besides, the name of this place was encouraging. The next appeal was the menu. I enjoy poutine. My curiosity took hold when reading the menu and Mexican Poutine stood out! So, without hesitation, that’s what I ordered. And my daughter, who loves ice cream saw the Cookie Monster. Oh boy neither disappointed. The MP should be shared with a group or independent non-faint of heart. It was wonderful. It had the fixings of. Chicken taco but on top of boardwalk fries
