Very first time I was here, Clyde welcomed me the second I came into the door with an incredibly warm energy. He walked me through the menu and gave some recommendations and helped my fiance and I pick some AMAZING food. We both loved it so much we had to come out a second time and we were graced with the service of @tyeshaspells and Kim. Both also welcomed us in, gave us the same warmth, and left us with smiles. The food here is ALWAYS fresh and you can tell the quality matters here. I will be returning many many times in the future and I will be recommending this to as many people as I can. If you enjoy seafood, and you come to downtown, you HAVE to stop by here. 10/10!!!

The Current continues to impress with consistently high-quality food and friendly service. We’ve been to their new location twice now, and they’ve really upped their game. Our favorite is the Blackened Salmon Sandwich, which is excellent is perfectly seasoned and cooked, with a flavorful aioli on the bun that I don’t remember from their Henry’s Depot days. The fries are crisp, golden, and lightly seasoned with Old Bay.. The new space, located in The old Imperial building, is warm and inviting. There’s a lot of wood throughout: the floors, the tables, which makes it feel bright. White chairs and high ceilings and umbrellas hanging from above give it coastal-modern feel. So excited for the new location. Its beautiful. I had the blackened Mahi sandwich with hush puppies and it was amazing. So glad we stopped in. Last time I had them they were still at Henry's Depot. We will def be back. The food has always been consistent 😋 🙌

One of the best grouper sandwiches I've had in ages. We also got the corn hush puppies and buffalo shrimp. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

We had such a good time at The Current Seafood Bar in Sanford. From the moment we walked in and placed our to-go order, it just felt welcoming. We ordered the New England lobster roll, clam chowder, blackened shrimp pasta, and half a pound of fried shrimp — and honestly, everything was so good. The lobster roll was loaded and buttery with perfectly toasted bread. The clam chowder was rich and comforting with plenty of clams. The blackened shrimp pasta had great flavor with just the right amount of spice, and the fried shrimp were crispy, hot, and not greasy at all. What really stood out though was Mike, the owner.
