The Dessert Collective

This was so fun to try a new type of dessert. I like coconut cream, so I wasn't surprised to find that it tastes good frozen, too. I was particularly pleased to find a place to recommend to my friends who need dairy-free options to try out due to allergies/etc! The flavors all sound good and I want to go back and try some different ones. Also was nice to see some cute treats by locals in the shop as well. Our server was friendly. Decor was fun!

Oh WOW!!!! You have to try the super fresh, dairy, free, gluten-free, coconut, cream, ribbon, shaved ice cream. They mix up and freeze a brick of coconut cream, base ice cream, and then send it through the shaved ice machine, such that it comes out in ribbons. It’s best if you can give it a couple minutes to soften so that you aren’t tasting anything but soft creaminess. Right now the seasonal flavors have raspberry mixed in And blueberry mixed in as two separate seasonal flavors. The raspberry Berry knocked our socks off. We liked the blueberry also. Such an interesting concept for a restaurant. These are all local artists that bring in their desserts for sale. The coconut shaved cream does not feel like a bomb went off in your stomach when you’re finished eating. So fresh and so yummy. T

Fantastic service and great local desserts. Small little seating area and limited options but worth the stop to try. Vegan options available. This was our second time coming and we got the brown butter chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter brownie. Last time we tried the regular brownie, which was good but very sweet/rich, and coconut ice cream that was good but nothing special. This time, the cookie was pretty average and the brownie was the same as before, very rich and dense/moist. We enjoyed them but weren’t blown away. ~$10.70 for all that plus a $1 s’more taffy thing. We've gone here quite a few times since I found out they have dairy free options! It's a bit pricier but that's because everything has really good quality ingredients which is hard to come by nowadays. The staff is helpful and the inside is really cute. The mini cakes are delicious!

Mmmm yeah not coming here again. 20 bucks for two smaller cakes?? Geez. Shoulda hit that ramen shop down the street. Alright so 20 bucks for two small desserts, that's all good, I bet they're fantastic then! Nope. The strawberry accent on top of the cheesecake tasted exactly like those cheap jam packets you get in hotels, not even kidding. Processed cheese cake topped with Smucker's jam. No thanks. Aesthetic was nice though and worker was chill. Probably better give that girl a raise for charging 10 bucks a small cake! Oh I forgot to mention the hair in the cake too. No big deal though, you get those every other outing these days.
