An incredible place to enjoy great steak in the heart of New York City. We ordered a salad with bacon, some French fries, a large premium steak for two, and a delicious carrot cake. Everything was exquisite. On the other hand, I'd like to offer some constructive criticism: the space between the tables was a bit cramped; you could practically eat at the table next to you. The waiter only shows you the cuts of meat he wants you to buy; there are other options available, also excellent, that you can enjoy, but you have to know about them beforehand. They have a great variety of wines, although the pours were a bit stingy for the price. Finally, regarding the tip, in addition to the amount you choose to leave, the restaurant adds an extra percentage without asking, which I don't think is right

My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day. We ordered raw oysters, a NY Strip Steak, and a Filet Mignon. The raw oysters were delicious. However, when our plates were cleared, oyster liquid spilled onto me. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't seem to notice. We ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare, closer to rare. However, the steak was served medium well and quite tough. So we hated to say but asked the waiter that the doneness was incorrect. He confirmed the order and brought a new steak, but it was raw, as if only the surface had been seared. We didn't want to ruin Valentine's day, so we decided not to ask them again. My man took me here to celebrate our engagement and everything was perfect. The food was incredible and our server Alejandra went above and beyond to make us feel special. Such a beautiful experience 🥹 The attention, the kindness, and the experience were unforgettable. Highly recommend!!!

I've been to The Dynamo Room now twice, once for a Friday night Happy Hour a few weeks ago, and once for lunch this past Thursday afternoon. Based on these two experiences, stick with their Happy Hour - the drinks and food are significantly better and cheaper. From the outside, Dynamo looks like it's been around for decades, which I mean as a compliment - it comes off like a 1960s steakhouse that hasn't been upgraded in years, so I was surprised to find out from my colleagues that it was a relatively new addition (last year or so) to the neighborhood. And it's pretty spiffy inside. If you have the ability and it's open, I'd recommend asking to go to the back bar, which is a much more intimate, quieter bar area than its sibling right by the entrance.
