The Filling Station

We stopped here while taking a break from a bike ride on the High Trestle Trail. It was a warm day, so ice cream hit the spot! It felt like the shop was either understaffed or didn't have enough equipment, as the wait time was longer than at most other ice cream shops I've visited. The soft serve machine also stopped working while we waited, so one of the people in our group had to choose another flavor and reorder, since chocolate wasn't available. The staff members were friendly, and the one who had to announce that the chocolate wasn't available was very apologetic.

A cute little ice cream shop that you need to stop at while biking on the High Trestle Bridge. I would highly recommend this place. We had five people order 5 different things and they were all good. My favorite was the Amaretto Cherry ice cream. Portion sizes are big! Good value, nice employees and cute atmosphere. Outside seating only but they had a few tables to sit.

My friend & I stopped here for some ice cream while we were riding the High Trestle Trail, and it was very refreshing. The counter service was convenient and efficient, and the outdoor patio was serviceable. I had a simple chocolate malt and it tasted above average, so I was pleasantly satisfied. Prices are reasonable as well. It was just a couple of blocks off of the trail, so definitely worth the stop.

We had fast friendly service, and it was the best ice cream we’ve had all summer!
