Fantastic! The food was so good. Brisket Philly is now my favorite sandwich! Pork rinds, pulled pork, mac n cheese, redskin potato salad... we tried them all and so very good. The service is one of those places that sets the bar for friendly solid service. We were contacted by no let than 5 people making sure we were good. Local owned doing it right! We will be back soon too try the rest of the menu!

It here recently and was very impressed. Read an article in the Richmond’s Times Dispatch about the place. That’s how we ended up here. Otherwise, I would’ve never heard of it. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. There was a 30 minute wait when we walked in and there were a lot of open booths the whole time. I’m assuming they were short on help since it’s a new location. As we were waiting, I could hear them telling people that they were out of pulled pork. They were out of potato salad and something else I don’t remember. This was around 4 PM on a Saturday. I guess that shows a lot of people are eating there or getting takeout. I’ve heard of good barbecue joints in Texas running out of food, but that’s because lines form at like 5 AM before the place even opens. I g

I know this is a newer location of a well known VA brand with a couple other locations. Located in the Shoppes at Innsbrook it has a prime spot along Broad St. They did a great job freshening up the interior from what was Hurley's Tavern. We had about a 20 min wait at 5 on a Thursday but where able to grab a couple of drinks from the bar. They have a fun menu of mixed drinks. Once we seated the service was great and the food came out really fast. I thought the wings were fantastic and the catfish basket was on special and was really lightly battered and delicious. The pulled chicken was good. Hushpuppies were a great app with yummy cinnamon butter. The kids enjoyed the mac and cheese and I thought it was pretty good as well. We started with the Puppy Basket. The Puppies were a little smaller than expected but had the usual flavor. We also tried the catfish basket and the beef beef brisket sandwich with 2 sides. The catfish was fried well but kept biting into unknown flour bits. It was accompanied with Mac n Cheese. The beef brisket was tender, and the choices of sauce were very good. The side of cornbread was a generous slice. Service was friendly with large drink glasses.

Good music playing. A bar to watch the game if you want. Plenty of napkins, as you'll need 'em. Half Price Ribs on Tuesdays Emily, my server was nice. And while they were a little tough, the ribs had a nice flavor. The baked beans were good and adding some Memphis BBQ to the mix, they tasted even better. Mac and cheese is good; I even added some BBQ sauce to that. Lol If you want to try their different sauces, I recommend getting tots to try them on. Glad they'll be opening up on in SW VA soon, my area. I like this place, and Mikey (photo) approves
