The Gift

Fish sandwich with all the fixings won’t disappoint. Bacon cheeseburger sub had lots of meat and everything was made to order. Don’t forget to get the triple mix drink. Food took 15-20 mins but honestly will worth it. I saw them making the fish fresh in the batter. Lady at the window was pleasant and listen carefully to my order. Will be returning to try other items on the menu.

I have passed this place many times, but this was my first visit. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted and my order taken immediately. However, This is an outdoor kiosk: 2 people, 3 max, fill up the place. Customers can watch their food being prepared, but there is no heat, in winter, and I imagine the AC is limited in summer. Patrons waited patiently and politely, conversing outside. Harford Road, directly in front of The Gift is a bus lane, though people still park there. Turn the corner to the right and there is additional street parking. Since the only option is to get your food and go, the wait should not be very long (20-30 min). My whiting was ok and meaty. Finally had a chance to try this spot, would only know about it via SM. It’s in the city on a busy street so parking is meh….i remember when it was a chicken spot back in the day. Anyway, as most reviews say it’ll be a wait and there’s not a real sit down area. The service is sortve slow but WORTH IT!!! I got the fish sandwich, seafood salad, cabbage, when i say everything was good!!!!!!!! lawd…that fish sandwich was huge!!!! and very tasty!!! The meel return rating is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5… if it weren’t for th wait or parking it would be better or take call in orders. But def worth the wait!! i want another right now.

Overall, the food was good and reasonably priced at $17. The cheese fish and fries were tasty, but the flavors were pretty simple—something you could easily make at home. There wasn’t a unique sauce or seasoning that really set it apart. I’d order from here again if the wait times were reasonable, but it’s not worth waiting two hours for.

The weather was nice for a 2.5hr wait for a fish sandwich. Yes, 2.5 hrs. The sandwich was above average. My wife and friend gave the sandwich an 8. I gave it a 7. An awesome tartar sauce would be a great addition to a really popular fish sandwich. The sandwich comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. You can add grilled onions and hots. I will go back, but I'm going to get there before they open. The meals are made to order.
