The HideAway Coffeehouse and Wine Bar

We attended their annual Christmas Day free dinner for the community. The food was delicious! All the staff and volunteers were so nice and welcoming. What a great community event. Any money donated that day goes to the local food shelf. Thanks for doing that kind and generous deed, HdeAway! A dinner for this many people takes a lot of food and work. I'm definitely coming back for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a large selection of coffee and goodies, they also have wine..

I got the Loaded Avocado Toast. "Avocado Toast: one slice 7-grain toast with mashed avocado and “everything seasoning.” ... Loaded Avocado Toast: Avocado toast plus sprouts and crispy bacon" Toast and the avocado itself were good. The greens were piled on so high as if I were a horse (see bunch on left of plate) and smelled like the sea. The bacon was NOT crispy as advertised. I would not be surprised if they told me they used precooked microwave bacon- which somehow took them 15 minutes to make (it was 7:30am, they were not busy with customers). They made me a caramel macchiato. Idk if it was on the menu but they made it for me when I asked if they had that <3 It tasted like caramel dish water </3 Maybe I just got a bad crew? I'll try their lunch menu another time... Flies everywher

We had such a nice lunch here. Everyone enjoyed their food which was fresh and on the healthy side. I guess all healthy except for the grilled cheese, but that was definitely enjoyed. The staff were super friendly and nice to us. The atmosphere was casual with a positive vibe. Recommended!

We went exploring and ended up in Northfield. We had a late lunch and hubby picked a chicken salad on a croissant. It had sliced cucumbers and yummy micro greens. I had a BLT with avocado on a rustic rice bread. Wish we could have had enough room for the dessert case! They also had a line of coffee, espresso and hot chocolate drinks. Hubby had a stripped reindeer which he recommended.

Absolutely delicious! And I was so delighted they had gluten free options, like gluten free bread or wraps, and some gluten free baked goods, too! My sandwich (The Pilgrim) was super flavorful and delicious. It came with a side of either chips and a pickle or a kale salad. I chose the kale salad, and it paired well with my sandwich. It was lightly sweet, with craisins and pecans. I also had an aptly-named drink called a Sunshine Soda, which really did evoke the vibe of sunshine! Everything was excellent!
