The Hudson Oven

We were in Croton on the Hudson picking up an item and decided to stop by for breakfast. I’m so glad we did! My husband had the breakfast special sandwich and I had the breakfast burrito. Both were excellent! As we sat outside for about 30 minutes, enjoying our food and the weather, at least a dozen people walked in and out all carrying a loaf of their sourdough bread so of course we had to go get a loaf to bring home. Omg it’s perfect.. crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. We also took home a few baked goods to try but my favorite was the scone. The owner was very pleasant and made the whole experience even better.

One of the food gems of northern Westchester! From the sandwiches to the baked goods and of course the bread, everything is fantastic. I’ve come here in all seasons and though it’s a small space you can usually find a spot to sit and eat. The staff are friendly and overall I can’t recommend this place enough! P.S. their little Debbie dupes are divine!

Their oven-roasted turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich on their homemade sourdough bread is INSANE. The best turkey sandwich I’ve had. Made with fresh turkey and this mayo that’s also unreal. I would eat this every week if I lived close by and sit in their adorable sunlit outdoor seating. Cannot wait to come back and get it again and try their pastries, which also look delicious. 5 stars!!!!

This place is incredible! Such a great selection of sandwiches made on their fresh sourdough. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. They also had such a great selection for baked goods and drinks. This place is a gem.

Delicious family run bakery. The sourdough is worth the price, and the sandwiches are great. Grab the beet salad when it’s available. As a vegetarian, I get the avocado toast or Breakfast Sammie.
