The Human Bean

Customer service sucks, asked to scan my rewards and she said “you have to do that before you pay” so I asked how come they don’t ask and her response “cuz most people don’t have the app” like girl please. This is second time this has happened. I asked if I can get a receipt to upload for points and she said “no, we don’t do that” If you want people to use the app that should be asked and suggested to help promote. This is bad marketing because they seem to not be able to figure how to promote or ask their customers something THEY OFFER. I didn’t even want to use my free drink reward, would just like credit towards my $8 coffee. This location absolutely sucks. The espresso bean is the only reason to even go to this establishment and the ONLY reason they didn’t get 1 star. Save yourself

The blonde barista was super nice and sweet man!! I heard my coworkers raving about chocolate and spices and their mexi mocha is so delicious Ughhh yes ❤ The lil espresso bean was such a pleasant surprise and the treat was perfect for the long drive back home. 10/10 yay

Not much of an atmosphere beyond the window, sadly, as you only have that one awkwardly positioned slab of sidewalk with the even more awkward railing, surprisingly nowhere to sit out here at the human bean tempe but that's just cause they love us folks here in tempe 🤣 but anyway I find their rewards app super dope and also shout out to the Barista who took my order. She was so dope haha

I wanted to write this review because I have really enjoyed my visits to human bean but had a very disappointing experience today. The service is always very friendly and I love their drinks. However, today I got a jalapeño sausage biscuit sandwich and when I opened the bag the sandwich was way out of wack as you can see in the picture, completely crushed up and folded all weird in the bottom of the bag. It is about a $6 sandwich and I just expected a little bit more care to be put into it. Coffee is good but just be aware this is the standard for their food products.

The Human Bean is my fav place to get something quick. The times I've gone, there isn't many people waiting in line, so it's great. When for example you order an Acai smoothie, they put a little bean on top of the whipped cream! Delicious! You can see what else they have in the photos I provided! :)
