I enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and cozy. I really do not stay at bed and breakfast, but I did enjoy this for a first timer.|The room we stayed in was on the second floor. If you do not do steps, you would not be able to stay here. It would not be a handicap accessible place. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and there were a lot of choice. It does get rather crowded breakfast time on the weekend so if you get there at 8 o'clock when breakfast begins, you will get your choice of a seat. I do not think this is a great hotel to bring children to, but if you were an adult a couple people doing a girls weekend it's great.
Great property to stay at as it’s ideally located and beautiful old home. Great breakfast included and 5 minute walk to all the wharfs! I highly recommend a stay here. It’s an old building so keep that in mind when booking. While it’s not perfect it’s cute and a great value
Positive: Location Negative: Rooms vary some larger and better apointed. Some rooms have fridges mine didn’t and ice is somewhere in a different building. Coffee maker would’ve been nice as breakfast isn’t served until 8 AM.
I stayed 4 nights. This is one of a collection of 4 buildings converted into hotels. They share a small lobby and breakfast room and deck. My room had a large bed, dresser, nightstand, couch and coffee table. The bed was comfortable; the pillows were very good. Floors are hardwood. Shower stall had non-slip stone tiles. Very good hot breakfast every morning - eat on the lovely garden deck - wear a hat, it's sunny. Location was terrific. The free (in summer) shuttle bus stops right in front, and it's a short walk to the harbor. There were glitches which management paid attention to immediately. Air conditioning is via window unit which I found balky. Maid only left washcloths half the time. A shelf next to the sink would have been welcome.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 days as a short trip to explore Newport, RI. After searching through AirB&B and Trip advisor we settled on this Inn. We prefer the more intimate experience of B&B's vs large unfriendly hotels with little character and personality. ||At check-in, we were greeted by the host (David I think) who was very pleasant and told us about the different buildings. They offer ample off-street parking, which is lovely. A personal pet-peeve of mine is how convenient the access is. We've stayed at places where the parking is literally "anywhere you can find it" on the street.||We were pleasantly surprised at the charm of this place, and more so, at the breakfast included. This made our stay that much better - a fresh daily prepared meal in a quaint environment with pleasan
