The Inn on Lake Champlain - Adirondack Farmstay B&B

It's been six days since we packed our bags and said goodbye to the Ohlys and our wonderful stay at the Inn, and we are still telling our family and friends about this amazing place and the inn keepers. Our room was comfortable and charming, the breakfast delicious. Lani and Dr. Karl are the most ambitious, hardworking and gracious couple we've ever met. We loved spending time conversing with them and hearing stories of things they've experienced. They have a wonderful positive optimism about facing the challenges and hard work that's ahead of them. When we saw their children, we found them delightful. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the farm animals, especially the dogs, cats and chickens. We'd certainly love to stay there again. We'd highly recommend staying at the Inn to experience

Karl and Lani's working farm has everything to make you feel home. From the cozy and clean rooms to the delicious breakfasts, and from their adorable Anatolian shepherds to the magical horse rides in the meadows, the Inn on Lake Champlain is a unique combination of comfort, wonder, fun, delight, calm, and love.|Although we arrived late in the evening (and also checked out a bit later than we should have...), our hosts were accommodating, and they always made sure to tend to our needs. The Inn's location is ideal to explore the upstate forests and lakes, while being only a few minutes drive away from local markets and restaurants as well.|We will long remember our encounter with fellow guests and with our hosts, who warmly welcomed us over our 3-night stay in early October. We had a delightful stay at Karl and Lani's working farm / inn. We stayed one night as we were biking the Empire State Trail north to the Canadian border. Lani and Karl greeted us warmly and were ready for us despite our early arrival. Our room had a view of the lake, beautiful quilts on the bed and displayed on the wall, and was well appointed with places to sit and relax after our long, hilly ride. We truly enjoyed our conversations with Karl and Lani, taking with their children and being welcomed into their home. The food was the best of our 5 day trip, with fresh produce from the farm and great company. One of the highlights was being able to see the Milky Way stretch across the dark night sky. My wife and I just celebrated our 22 year wedding anniversary with a stay at The Inn. We are from Brooklyn so there was a little of immediate culture shock being at a working farm that was a bit off the grid. No TV. Turned out to be a real nice reset. The couple that own The Inn and their family were very welcoming, and cooked a great breakfast. We enjoyed entering their world and getting a taste of how they run their farm, and really live off the land (killed their own meat, make their own cheese). They are college-educated and one could picture them in an urban environment but they chose a different and less well-traveled path. Lani, the multi-talented owner, is an amazing hostess with impeccable taste and utmost attention to details. From delicious breakfast to gorgeous handmade quilts everything radiates next level hospitality. The farm tour was fantastic, with so many insights and side stories!
