The Lighthouse Restaurant and Dockbar

I came in for lunch with the family, and we received a warm welcome and were shown to a nice table. Megan, our server, was absolutely wonderful! She took our drink orders and was very helpful with her suggestions. The filet was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The fried oysters were delicious, and the fried shrimp with the boom boom sauce on the side was truly amazing. The angry crab cake was a bit spicy, but equally delicious. Enjoying a tasty meal while taking in the beautiful water view really can't be beat!

Mixed feelings. The food was quite good. Overpriced. And they charge for credit card transactions! The service was possibly the most unattended I have seen in a while. I’m not sure if they were understaffed. It didn’t seem like it. The tables were cleared promptly so that tells me that they do have staff. But as far as table touching goes… It didn’t seem like this was something that was taught to the servers. You think that with the cost of the meal with someone would’ve asked us if everything was all right. If we needed something else. They weren’t rude. And they gave us the appropriate to go boxes and the additional condiments I requested. So like I said, it’s a mixed feeling. There is a small parking lot. So limited parking. There is also street parking if you can find it.

I had an early dinner here. It was a great atmosphere and excellent view. Parking was very easy since they have their own lot which is a plus for me. The food was delicious, although my baked potato was a little "hard" cooked than I usually like (I like a soft baked potato where the butter just melts). The hushpuppies were "okay" but I dipped I the honey and it was good.

The soups were too salty but I do like the Maryland crab soup! The entrees were pretty filling too with all the sides and everything! I think it’s a good place to try. It was a pretty busy restaurant but the waiter was really nice and came to check up on us quite a few times which was nice! And food came out pretty quick and restrooms were clean.

Almost top notch, no matter what others think. Their appetizers are extremely well executed. I thought the main courses were kinda on par with other similar restaurants but the service (friendly customers too) and atmosphere (the amazing view) made up for whatever he lack was. Not many gluten free options but definitely variety enough. Definitely coming back...with friends.
