Customer Reviews
Quaint old school restaurant on the wharf with beautiful views and knowledgeable staff with adorable uniforms that take me back. Sandy was a great server. Very accommodating and direct. Food was excellent. It's nice that the salad is included with homemade dressing. The room was a little dark with many customers with flash lights. The bathroom attendant was so friendly.
Heads up~ This restaurant is Open 7 days a week! We had a great, yummy dinner. You definitely need to order the lobster bisque and oysters Rockefeller! Amazing! The bread you get is super good! Our server Kyle was attentive, pleasant and on point! I just have to add…. As a woman who has been in the restaurant business for 20 plus years, I feel so bad for the girl servers here. Such a shame that they have to wear those ridiculous white sailor suits. I get it’s part of their old school tradition however it’s 2026, the owners can catch up and revise the awful Gilligan costumes.
This restaurant left us mixed impressions. On one hand, it’s beautiful and full of history; on the other, the food didn’t quite live up to the expectations or the price. Our dishes: • Lobster salad: unimpressive and dressed with mayonnaise - definitely not worth the price. • Half lobster with shrimp: interesting, but not outstanding. Better to just order the regular lobster. • Stewed crab: surprisingly, the best dish of the night, though we came based on reviews calling this place “the best lobster in town.” Service was friendly and fast. Overall, I can recommend visiting, but take time to study the menu in advance to avoid overblown expectations.
Pricey, but for seafood hard to beat. It is on the docks where the fisherman unload so your seafood is as fresh as can be. Well worth a walk around the docks to look around. Top notch. We’ve been eating there for 20 years or more. No reservations accepted so you may have to wait for a table if you get there after 5 pm or so.
Sadly didn’t realize the lobster bisque probably tasted off. Sadly I only had a couple spoons but my boyfriend had most of the bowl. Me and my boyfriend now have food poisoning we got 1 1/2 lb lobsters and the bisque and yeah I barely ate my food but my boyfriend ate most of not all of his food and we almost had to take him to the hospital I’ve never seen anyone throw up so much. Not eating seafood for a long long time after this.
