The Local at Forest & Ridge

*Main downside for the atmosphere is that it is very noisy. Newly opened (3/21/2025) restaurant, by the owner of Bistro 804 and located in the same shopping center area. Former location of Kuba Kuba Dos. Open less than a week (opened 3/21/2025), the restaurant was very busy at 7:00. Besides the individual tables, there was one long communal table. It seems popular with friend groups and families. The ambiance is casual but nicely put together, and there is a covered outdoor patio as well. Even though the restaurant is new and it was very busy, the service was good. There is TV in the corner, which was TV tuned to sports, but the sound was turned off (thankfully). Food has been delicious everytime we've come here. Serving staff are friendly & attententive. Prices for premium liquor were high, a price I'm not willing to pay. Love the vibe but it's very loud.

We decided to try this new restaurant after hearing good things from friends/neighbors. The food was fantastic but the service was awful. Our server Marla was kind of rude and we could see her rolling her eyes every time she left the table. She smiled while greeting us but seemed annoyed every time we asked for something. The hostess and the servers who brought out our food were pleasant, but Marla’s attitude ruined the whole experience. She also kept disappearing and coming back smelling like cigarettes. Normally I wouldn’t mind but the smell was so strong even my kids noticed. The food was really good, especially the sidewinder fries. My husband had the chicken tacos and loved them. We’re willing to give this place another chance because clearly the chef knows what he’s doing. I just hop

It's tragic that a generic menu place like this replaced kuba kuba dos which used to be at this location. If you like incredibly mediocre food in a loud buzzing environment full of TVs blasting sports on top of music tracks playing in the loudspeakers, then this is for you. We got wings which were disgustingly covered in the grossest sauce I've ever had and were depressingly undercooked. There's absolutely nothing redeeming about its menu other than the fact that it is more of the same American pap that can be found literally anywhere across the Nation. Our server however was incredible and delightful a million stars for her I hope that she can make tips working at a place like this.

We went there for trivia night and the place was packed. In spite of that the service was quick, friendly and accurate and the food was very good! The atmosphere was also great with lots of talk and fun. Definitely a place to go back to, especially if you want to play Trivia.
