The Local Market

My husband and I were visiting Destin from Pensacola and stopped here to have lunch. The locals raved about it, did not wanna spend too much money and this was the perfect lunch stop. Hubby and I both had the Monday meatball sub special, I love that there is a special every day of the week so the menu literally changes every day! The sub roll was amazingly delicious, fresh Cuban bread, and the meatballs were well seasoned, delicious marinara sauce, and delicious crispy fries. There was a spicy cucumber that was pickled and I absolutely loved it! My husband thought it was a bit spicy, but I loved it! The Local Market in Destin is a spot worth checking out. I went in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast burger which was cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor. The bun was soft, the egg was done just right, and everything came together in a way that made it feel hearty without being too heavy. The place itself is clean and welcoming with a casual coastal feel that makes you want to hang out for a while. Service was quick and friendly and even though it was busy the staff kept things moving smoothly. It is the kind of place that makes you want to come back and try something new every time.

Local Market delivers an outstanding breakfast experience every time! The corned beef hash is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had — crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their iced coffee is just as impressive — smooth, bold, and the perfect pick-me-up. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the food is consistently top-tier. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast lovers!

We really enjoyed our experience here! It is a fun vibe and atmosphere and the food is delicious! We got the chicken melt but I did regret not getting fries or tots because I didn’t find the portion or taste of the pasta salad to be THAT amazing in comparison to having fries. I also must share I think something funky is up with the water dispensing at the soda machine….. it tasted so bad!!

This is my favorite Pressed Cuban Sandwich in the area of Destin to 30A. The atmosphere would make for a good place to stop for weekend motorcycle clubs in their 40s through 60s. The Gen Z crowd has discovered Local Market, too. They have Dr. Pepper in the sugar cane glass bottles that I had not seen since living in Japan. Tater tots are fantastic. The donuts would go great with a coffee. I haven't tried the coffee, but these donuts were made for dipping. If you are particular about your ice for your drink, they have the good stuff.
