Bacon & Eggs The egg was a bit overcooked. The bacon was smoky and good, and the York was good. Fish and crips The fried portion was slightly burnt and overcooked. The fish was a bit dry, but the spice served with it was good. House-made Chips Great portion size with perfect seasoning. Nothing was overdone, and they were nice and crunchy. Buffalo Chicken Wings The chicken was really good and well cooked. The sauce was nice, but not necessary—the chicken was enjoyable on its own and crunchy. Fries Nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. A good choice. The Peasant Minis Comes with two mini sandwiches with a very small slice of rib meat. However, it did come with a side of fries. I did enjoy it. Taste was good. Price was ok for how small these were. The entree version comes

A staple in Sherman Oaks. For sure a top 10 in the valley. The food is so good, the cocktails are excellent, the beer list never misses, I could go on forever. Our go to is fish & chips, Mac & cheese, and the meatballs. Been coming here for over 10 years so here's to another 10 🍻

Great little gastropub with fun atmosphere, nice bar, friendly service and delicious food. I ordered the crab cakes eggs Benedict and enjoyed it. Wonderful experience!

The space was cozy, but still lively enough to feel fun, with an inviting, friendly energy. The menu offers a great selection of dishes that blend comfort food with a creative twist. We started with the Truffle Fries, which were crispy, golden, and topped with just the right amount of truffle oil and parmesan—absolutely addictive. For the main course, I went with the Braised Short Ribs, which were tender, rich, and packed with flavor, served with mashed potatoes that were smooth and creamy. I've been wanting to try The Local Peasant for a while cause of my proximity but just kept pushing it off. I finally went in the other day and honestly, I'd prefer if I kept pushing it off. Off the bat it is just any other generic Restobar. Minimal decor means you can easily forget what restaurant. Even the exterior of the place offers no hint that it is even a restaurant thanks to lack of signage. The waiter we had was polite, attentive, and probably the only highlight of the visit. The food, while tasty, was lacking. We started with the Truffle Macaroni and cheese with bacon, which turned out to be Penne Pasta in a runny alfredo.
