The New Orleans Gourmet

I ordered 41.00 worth of ice cold food. The gator bites tasted and looked as if they were premade and cold tasted like they were made the day before.Not fresh at all. The red beans is rice was a plastic bowl full of hard beans and hard uncooked rice in water with 3 shrimp and two uncooked sausages. I refuse to try the gumbo my daughter bought. As a person from the south and eat a lot of Cajun food. This was the worst experience. They DID NOT DO NEW ORLEANS especially during Mardi Gras and justice. I had high hopes because they are the only location in my area that offered this menu. I will never be back.

Was struggling to find something to eat today for lunch. Drive all over town not deciding on anything. Eventually just said I’ll get an Olga’s Sandwich. After pulling into the parking lot, I noticed “The New Orleans Gourmet.” Without hesitation, I went there instead. Walked in and was a little confused by the setup. It’s a premade restaurant, everything is cooked and put in a cooler. The food looked great nonetheless. I decided on Jambalaya and Alligator bites. Man am I glad I chose this for lunch. So much flavor. I can’t recommend enough!!! I can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu.

Eat here. Seriously, the gumbo is phenomenal, the beignets are fantastic and made to order, and the staff was so so sweet. Even my 3 and 5 year olds are dying to go back for more of that gumbo.

Amazing dishes and even better aura from the chef!!! The prices are the most reasonable that I've found in today's economy with the portions over exceeding most in the surrounding area. A must visit kind of place.
