The New Palmerton diner

The first place I ever sent my food back and refused to eat it. Me and my son sat in this place for over 1 hour and we were the only ones that were there the entire time. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad, French onion soup. My son ordered chicken fingers and fries. The salad was awful. Drenched in dressing, making it inedible. Chicken was rubbery. I never tasted French onion soup like that before. Like dirty dish water, grease with some seasoning. Just terrible. The only thing that was decent were the French fries.

I got the steak and eggs. It was wonderful, the hash browns were really good! The pancakes were delicious as well. We went on a quiet weekday morning and were treated with episodes of The Office on the TV. With no commercials! Loved this place. Will return.

I used to love coming to Palmerton Diner, but it’s definitely gone downhill fast. Ever since another crew member got fired, the place just isn’t the same. The atmosphere feels tense, the service is slipping, and honestly, the whole experience is disappointing now. On top of that, there are serious cleanliness issues — I’ve personally seen signs of rodents and it’s completely unacceptable for a place serving food. It’s disgusting and genuinely concerning. And let’s talk about the ownership. Mario, the so-called “boss,” is an absolute disgrace. He’s fired two of the best workers this diner ever had, and it shows in the service and overall vibe. He has no clue how to treat people or run a business. Honestly, he should be on the other side of the counter working a minimum‑wage job instead of

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The waitress must have been new, didn’t know the specials or the soups. We don’t go out a lot. Want the best bang for our buck. Read some good lunch reviews. Food was fresh and tasted good, just not the experience we were looking for. Monte Cristo good tasting, nice meats. Chicken gyro, good but needed more chicken. Prices on par with other diners. Good fries, frozen.

Tried this diner the first time today. They had a Thanksgiving special. The food was delicious! Bedt soup ever. Great turkey and stuffing and yummp homemade crandberry sauce. Then the best blueberry pie ever!! Will definitely be going back! They have a really great menu too. Realy want to try the banana pancakes!!! We had the best waiter too!!
