Beautiful people, so kinda and hospitable— I think about it to this day! I went there with my coworker and her sister and my brother. They got 1 plate to share and he added in extra rice, peas and plantains as he was worried it wouldn’t be enough food for them 🥹 He added in a free order of waffle fries for my brother as my brother expressed interest in them after we had already paid. His actions were so thoughtful and endearing, I tell everyone I know who’s visiting NYC! I was visiting NYC from California but I’m looking forward to getting it again on my next trip. Their jerk chicken is ELITE!! I love would recommend this place every single time… Thank you for your hospitality and great food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Long time fan... One of the best food trucks around. Service with a smile and the food is quick, unless there's a line but it's never a long wait. I'm a big fan of the oxtail, which is always super tender and the gravy is so good with rice and veggies. If the weather is warmer, go with the salad since it's lighter. But when the weather cools down or you have an appetite, go with the oxtail over rice. Prepare for a big warm meal or you might have some left overs. You notice how hefty the container is and it's the best bang for the buck. Definitely worth a try!
Amazing fried ripe plantains. I would go back every time for these. I had a curried chicken. The only option for rice was rice and peas (bummer, I know). The seasonings was not Caribbean seasons. I was hoping for a flavor close to Golden Crust (and other popular Jamaican restaurants). The rice was a bit too moist and the chicken were cubes of chicken breast. I was looking forward to the bone and everything so that was disappointing. The steamed veggies were good. The truck might be Caribbean inspired, but definitely not Caribbean flavor. I’m happy I tried it though. Service was great and the area the food was being prepared on appeared clean. The staff who assisted were polite as well. I found this truck outside Mount Sinai Main Hospital (Madison Ave).
Food is good taste a little different because it’s gluten free but still good nontheless there’s an extra 2 charge if you use a card to pay and the coconut rice isn’t tooo crazy
Absolutely disgusting and dangerous. I ate at this food truck and ended up with serious stomach poisoning shortly after. This wasn’t just “feeling off” — it was hours of pain, nausea, and regret. The food tasted questionable from the first bite, and now I understand why.
