The Original Giuliano's Delicatessen in Gardena

There are very few places that deserve the 5 stars, and this is one of them. The service is delightful, the place looks amazing with all varieties of food and wines and breads and charcuterie, wow, just love it. The smell of cheese and bread is mesmerizing 🤤 I got the lasagna, with a tiramisu and a torpedo, great options, full of meat and cheese and the marinara , just can't have enough. Portions are generous, and it's not overpriced.

I love Italian delis, came here on a whim and the place is nice and has some good selections. But ordered some items for my grandma and my mother. The food wasn’t that great. I ate my sandwich pastrami melt, it was ok. My grandmother had the grilled chicken sandwich, the chicken was really dry, either over cooked or day old chicken. Had the special carbonara pasta, seems like they scrambled the egg, it was dry with no sauce or black pepper, wasn’t really a carbonara pasta to me. Also had a chinese chicken salad asked for a grilled chicken, again chicken was dry. Tried to finish the chicken and pasta but could not. If just the chicken were to change to fresh cooked chicken i would come back.

Got the Giulio sandwich. The small was still pretty big and decent price. The meats were fresh and the bread was soft. The staff was really nice. The food can take awhile to make given it's so busy during the lunch rush. The market itself is nice for getting many Italian items like olive oil, fresh pasta and tinned fish. The outdoor seating is nice but also next to a busy street so it can get loud.

1st time going here today and I fell in love! In love w how fresh their bread is and the variety of good food they have available. They have a good selection of fresh salads as well as other goodies. I tried their butter croissants ...bomb! Super soft and warm! Definitely will be back to try other things. Almost forgot....their prices are really good! Very affordable especially with this crazy economy. And last but not least staff was very friendly.

I've been coming to this restaurant for 37 years. And it has not changed by one shelf item... everything is original, the staff is carrying an honest, and the entire vibe is 💯 % family which I love and appreciate. I hope to come for the next 37 years.
