The Chicago dog buns are more like hoagie buns than hot dog buns. Ask for a regular bun instead. The hot dog meat is a little bland. It was $39 for 3 hot dogs, 2 drinks, 2 small sides, and a tip.
First and last visit. I waited 20 minutes for a brat with sauerkraut . When the person behind the counter, who was sitting down on his phone, stood up to take another order I saw my food sitting on a tray behind him - for how long?? The food was cold, sausage portion small, bun meh and it had what appeared to be onions on it instead of sauerkraut. Service or food not acceptable for the prices being charged. I will not be returning. Disappointing as the menu would pair nicely with South Mains beers. Maybe Wire Park can turn their nearly empty "food court" into a flea market? Might be a better use of the space given the quality of past and most of the current food offerings - Mamma's Boy being the only tenant I'd return to.
As someone who had worked in the service industry for 15+ years, trust me when I say, save yourself the money and the trouble. Don’t bother coming. You’re paying quality prices for elevated cafeteria food and lackluster customer service. I paid over $60 for food my 2 year old son, my wife, and myself. The food was made from frozen/canned ingredients. I’d be surprised if they made anything in-house. Also, the server Samuel K acted like it was a major inconvenience to be taking my order and rushed me to make a decision. I asked for my order to go, and he didn’t even bag it. When I asked for a bag he just handed it to me and proceeded to stand directly across the counter and watched me bag my own to go order. I won’t be going back. Ever.
Heard about this place and decided to git it a shot. We ordered the LA hotdog and the factory burger we were not disappointed. Hotdog was a bit messy to eat, but very delicious. Lots of chili, onions cheese and bacon. Hamburger was very juicy and tasty, two patties, cheese, lettuce tomato, onions. Fries were a bit over seasoned for my taste and some were saltier than others. But overall it was great.
I think this place is secretly sponsored by Big Salt. The fries came out looking normal, but one bite and I swear my blood pressure spiked. It's like I ordered a sodium survival challenge and I'm still thirsty. The hotdog wasn't spared either. It tasted like it had been cured for the winter and seasoned again just to be safe. I couldn't tell if there was meat in there or just another salt delivery system in a bun. If you love salt more than life itself, this is your paradise. If you want to live past 50, maybe bring your own food or bring your doctor next time you go.
