The Original Turkey

This place is a hidden gem in the city of Philadelphia. It's located inside of the Reading Terminal Market. The customer service is outstanding. And the turkey is fresh. I got the #1 turkey on baguette with lettuce and tomato, delicious. My date ordered the #2 a turkey wrap. The bread other ingredients were all fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this location.

On our way back to NC from NY, we stopped in for a wander in Philadelphia, and I'm so glad we picked up some turkey for lunch! My husband went for the turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn. I tried the turkey steak (like a cheese steak and a chicken Parm had a turkey baby in the best way). My only note would be that the bread might have been a little better if it was slightly warm, otherwise, great food and good portions at a decent price. I also forgot to ask for a receipt for parking validation possibilities. Oops!

Very tasty and delicious Turkey sandwich made to order. Nicely located right by the seating area inside the Reading Terminal in Center City Philadelphia.

The turkey is so juicy and flavorful and the sourdough stuffing is just incredible. I could literally have this every single day. They’re so speedy and very friendly. Would give this 10 stars if I could because they PACK the containers. It’s a perfect seal. If it was appropriate to do so, I would’ve licked it clean in public. I dragged my boyfriend back the next day and get more for the week.

My new favorite place at the Terminal! I had heard only good things about the original Turkey before I went and it did not disappoint! The staff were extremely helpful and nice and the atmosphere in that part of the terminal is awesome. But it was the BIRD that stole the show. I got the lunch box, but don’t think you can go wrong here. Juiciest turkey I’ve ever had in my life. I’ll be finding a way to get one of these on my table come thanksgiving time!
