The Patio - Aurora

I'm from a few hours away, and this was recommended by a local friend. Stepping from the car, the smell hits you right away and amplifies your hunger exponentially. Getting inside, the dining area was open and clean. We were greeted promptly and allowed plenty of time to peruse the menu. My wife had lemon herb salmon, my child had the grilled cheese, and I ordered the brisket burger and fries. After a brief wait, our food came out and looked amazing. I was served a brisket sandwich and not the burger I ordered. I took it back to the cashier who admitted the mistake on keying it incorrectly. I like the patio. So many healthy choices. There are not many around but when I find one, I stop in. Today I am running errands. It is Friday. Halloween. I'm giving out candy along my route. I'm having fun. My phone broke last Sunday. Today I have to go get help loading up some internal provisions that did not transfer over when I received my replacement phone. I have to pay my bill. I have to dialog about past requests that did not proceed as I understood they would. After words, I have time to get something to take with me before the bus arrives. I thought I might stop in at the Olive Garden, but the Patio is on the way. I like the salmon with the mango sauce with the garlic mashed potatoes and the steamed vegetables. The Patio Aurora always overdelivers. The staff is wonderful and efficient, the food is consistently delicious, and the portions are generous. When we can’t bring a home-cooked meal to my mom in her nursing home, we rely on The Patio and they never let us down. We’re very thankful for them.

When we walked in you can see the place is incredibly clean and organized. Menu is easy to read and the staff is patient when ordering. We had the brisket that was moist and flavored well that was a very large portion for the 18.99 they charge which came with a potato choice, bread and coleslaw. We also had the Turkey that came with mash potatoes. We had the broccoli and cheese soup that was very tasty also. After you order they give you a number and you find a seat and they bring your order out to you. The delivery time was under 5 minutes so if you are in a hurry they will get you on your way quickly. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Amazing business.

Food was mediocre at best...the lemon orzo chicken soup was a flavorless chicken noodle soup, onion rings tasted like frozen, from the freezer to fryer with uncooked batter in the center. The Santa fe salad & brisket tacos ok Gentleman kept pulling things off our table, I guess in a hurry to leave- but we were there over an hour prior to closing... Counter service was the worst. 2 ladies ahead of us were delivery no greet or hello to us while we patiently waited. Finally had to ask this tall employee to help us...with not even a smile or apology, simply "yes, what can I get you" Didn't get utensils so had to go back & ask...what a terrible experience...
