1/3/26 Dinner on a Saturday night. Got Spicy lemon grass pho (very flavorful, made better more cilantro), spicy lamb skewers (amazing), and shrimp spring rolls(small portions, comes with peanut sauce). If you are south Asian and are not used a high level of spice ask for things to be spiced at a lower level. Overall it was great experience. Place was clean and service was very friendly. Staff should be educated what zabihah means. Health considerations wise, I would recommend getting less noodles, less salt, and more protein in your pho. You would see another place by a similar name called 'pho spot', that was previous name of this same place, now renamed to the pho house. 1/31/26 Dinner on Sat night. We got the lemon grass pho, regular pho, and spicy beef with rice (a little on the dry s
I was sad when I saw The Pho Spot closed, but then The Pho House opened in its place and it’s become a place I really enjoy. From what I can recall of Pho Spot’s broth, I think Pho House is different but not worse. You can see from my photos and video that the herbs are there, the broth is savory, and even small slices of hot pepper add nicely to the taste. Meat servings in the standard brisket+flank seem decent. I recently tried their spicy lamb skewers which were very tasty and something I’d order again. Looking forward to the next visit already!
Finally got around to try the resteraunt after they changed owners. When I first got there there was a huge line and we had to wait 20 minutes before we got seated, this gave me the first clue that the food is good as it's drawing a crowd now. We came in a group and we were all able to order from the website which included our table number, made ordering and paying our tab super easy. They expanded the menu to include more Vietnamese dishes. I got the banh mi and the spicy lemon grass pho with extra tendon (my fave). Food portions was great and filling. The pho was spiced but not super spicy, I would say the spice level was a 4/10 or 5/10. They gave a good portion of noodles, no complains there, the meat portions was not bad, but I always wish there was more meat 😂. Overall I would rate th
Got the short rib pho and vegetables dumplings for lunch today. The serving size was huge, I ended up bringing half of the short ribs and dumplings home. My short rib was very tender, but it did need more seasoning (while I’m not a heavy sauce person) so I dipped it in the dumpling seasoning it turned so savory and delicious. The most highlight of today would be the dumpling seasoning, it did taste sweeter but less spicy than the home made chili oil, and I liked it both on the short ribs and in my soup. The service and atmosphere was also very good. shout out for Danna and Becca, they made sure my coffee was iced and brought me extra cooked bean sprout.
We stopped by The Pho House and ordered the short rib pho with bok choy add-on. The bowl was massive and came with a giant, fall-off-the-bone short rib that made the dish feel extra comforting. The broth was rich and satisfying, though it leaned heavy on the MSG. Since we went with the short rib option, we’re not sure what the portion size is like for the regular pho, but if it’s anything similar, it’s likely still generous. We also tried the new peppered calamari appetizer and really liked it. The batter was crisp, not greasy, and the tangy pickled sauce on the side added a bright pop of flavor that balanced things out nicely. That said, we used to come here when it was The Pho Spot, and I have to say… I miss their pho. It was more flavorful and had that homemade depth I always looked f
