The Read House Hotel, Downtown

Positive: This is an old charm hotel very nicely remodeled. Excellent professional staff. Some minor details could be improved but overall, a very nice stay. Negative: Some parts of the lobby were really cold, not sure why. Maybe somebody forgot to reset the thermostats. Fitness center was not open 24-hr, as in most other hotels.

The Read House is absolutely stunning and has such deep history. It’s located in a great central location to Chattanooga so you can really enjoy all the city has to offer. From the moment we walked into The Read House in Chattanooga, the tone was set with genuine warmth and professionalism. The staff greeted us with welcoming smiles and a level of attentiveness that felt natural and unforced. Every interaction throughout our stay was friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. The attention to detail was impressive. Everything was spotless. The chrome fixtures gleamed without a smudge, and there was not a speck of dust in sight. A lovely visit to the Read House and Chattanooga. The hotel has the old classic atmosphere with modern features. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bed is one of the best I have experienced in hotels. The bathroom with large walk in shower was very nice. |The workout facilities are clean and functional. The pool was a nice break and popular. |Every single hotel staff member was very nice and friendly. The bar and pool table was fun. |The amazing number of places that are a close walk to enjoy and that Chattanooga keeps downtown walkable makes it a favorite location. |I have zero complaints and would absolutely stay again.

The Read House is a wonderful place to stay! The history and aesthetic of the hotel are fascinating and fun, and plenty reason alone to stay here, but the quality of the service, and the cheerfulness and hospitality of the staff, are even more reason to choose the Read House as your place to stay in Chattanooga. Upon check-in, we were immediately made to feel welcome and at home in their establishment, and every interaction we had with the staff was pleasant and cordial. We felt very well taken care of, and several times during our stay we were checked in on by the staff by text to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and asking if we needed anything; this service further confirmed that we will be staying here again in the future. I booked my stay solely based on the first picture that popped up from their google pages. That lobby looked so cool, and in person it’s something else!! From valet, to front desk, and even house keeping, everyone was so polite and friendly. Taking our requesting and going above to make sure our stay was the best and it was! Definitely coming back when I’m in the area!! Also if you’re going to get breakfast get the waffles!! I don’t know what they do but they’re delicious!!
