Customer Reviews
This is the second time that we have visited this restaurant and have had great experiences on both occasions. Located within the Topnotch hotel, the restaurant is beautiful, the food is solid, and the atmosphere was great. The Roost is definitely underrated here.
Went here for my dads 80th and had the worst meal. We each had NY strip ordered medium/rare. It took forever to get the meal. Restaurant only had a couple tables. When the steaks came they were barely warm and mainly fat. So tough we couldn’t chew it. When we tried to get the waiters attention the whole staff were huddled at the bar not paying any attention. My dad finally got up and asked the waiter to come to the table. He took the steaks and said he would fire new ones. He didn’t the same steak came back just cooked a little more. They did bring new steak fries but they were still cold inside. The pics attached are AFTER they refired the same grisly steak and it was mostly fat. The only reason they get 2 stars is the manager comped both meals and the drinks.
Great hotel restaurant. We came here for dinner then breakfast. We ordered all the small plates for dinner to share- jalapeno poppers, pimento cheese dip, deviled eggs, lamb meatballs, wings and fries. The lamb meatballs were the highlight, so savory, tender and tasty. Local beer on tap with others in cans like HEADY TOPPER! Breakfast the next morning was also delicious. The Eggs Benny with smoked salmon was prepared perfectly and the accompanying home fries were well-seasoned and crispy. The house made corned beef hash was dynamite and the avocado toast with poached egg was also a hit.
Great menu options and delicious food in a beautiful indoor and outdoor space. The service is welcoming. We love to go and have Christian who is an exceptional server. In the summer, the outdoor space is beautiful with views of the mountain. The indoor space has a cool upscale vibe and is cozy with the fire.
The restaurant looks beautiful, but the staff doesn't live up to the restaurant's image; I don't recommend it. They can't handle problems. It's as if they're working there for the first day. If you want to ruin your evening, then go to this restaurant.
