The Sanctuary at Wild Rose Acres

My girlfriend and I just spent this weekend here, can’t say enough good about it. Marion is a wonderful person and is a fantastic hostess who makes you feel right at home. The property is very private, quiet, and peaceful. The room is very nice, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom (huge bathtub), lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. Marion brought us jars of sweet tasting well water, a nice breakfast and coffee each morning, and even sent me home with some catnip for the cat. Got to visit and pet the horses. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, this is your place! You won’t want to leave

Marion is an amazing person & host! The most wonderful serene country escape! Nature & Nurture at it's best! The room was incredible! Amazing views at every glance. With the best bathroom I've ever seen! The Sweetest most beautiful horses! My heart & soul left filled! The fresh coffee & homemade breakfast helped too! We'll be back! Repeatedly! Wild Rose Acres is a very peaceful and tranquil location. A perfect place to detox from city life and regroup.(I think this would be an ideal location for an artist's or writer's retreat) I stayed here when taking my daughter to Kenyon College as a freshman and this was an ideal place to come home to after the hubbub of move-in. The room is lovely, with an idyllic view of trees and a small pond. Plus the bird feeders were endlessly entertaining during breakfast. Marion is a very thoughtful and accommodating hostess and her assistant "Charlie the Cat" was charming. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

If you are looking for a calm & relaxing place to stay...this is the spot! Marion is an awesome hostess with a lot of knowledge about the wildlife. Got to visit & pet her horses. The tub in the bathroom is amazing, we enjoyed a large bubble bath at the end of our night. Would definitely recommend to all my friends! Thank you!
