Customer Reviews
Hidden inside a Cook House canteen among 2 other vendors. The entire place has a Western old town theme. There are plenty of self seating bench style seats to accommodate a large group., over 10 people. The Prime brisket burger was thick and the burger patty tasted like ground brisket meet. We also ordered pull chicken sandwich which was juicy and tender and had a nice smoked flavor. The BBQ sauce help to enhance the flavor. Canned soda including diet Coke and alcoholic beverages available. Inside the eating area had a slight musty smell possibly from the solid wood flooring. A bit on the pricey side for a burger and sandwich.
We decided to try this place, I am so glad we did. The place is very casual with family style seating, since it’s a food court. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and gave good suggestions since it was our first time. My husband had the pulled pork, and I had the beef brisket. The meat just melts in your mouth. The bbq sauce was not overpowering, it was smooth and flavorful. We plan on definitely coming back. If your looking for good food this is worth the stop.
Great BBQ in the Temecula area. We ordered the full spread which was enough for the six of us. The brisket was the best on the platter. There is also a bar in the building that has really good cocktails.
I'd read online that this placed served a Cubano Sandwich, a real favorite when I lived in New York City. The restaurant is a food counter within a mini food court called The Cookhouse in a very cute retail development called Vail Headquarters. It's the site of an historic old ranch, with modern theming to match, surrounded by strip malls along Temecula Parkway. To cut to the chase, I didn't like my Cubano. The food was high quality, if very pricey and small but certainly large enough to satisfy. But they used heavily smoked and BBQ-rubbed pork which didn't marry well, I thought, with the traditional Cubano ingredients of swiss cheese, mustard and pickles. I don't mind "re-inventing" classic foods as long as the result is tasty. This was just bizarre and kind of unpleasant. Sorry.
Succulent Southern smoked meats and sides. Part of a new mini-food Place planning LLP hall in Vail Village a short drive from Main Street Temecula. Meats are super tasty and cooked to perfection. Smoky and spicy pork, brisket, chicken. Loved the pulled pork and Cuban sandwiches.
