The Smokehouse Restaurant at Antrim 1844

Wow. Just wow. We went for my husband's bday. Did the full course menu and one of us did the wine pairing. I am really not a fan of many wines but the wine pairing did not disappoint. The food was incredible. We got the lamb and the sea bass. Both were cooked to perfection. The first few courses were also wonderful. The ambiance was very colonial america and the history shone thru the decor. Service was impeccable and was very knowledgeable. Our waitress was high energy and very informed about the menu and wines. Also, the whole menu is chef prepared, and most dishes were gluten free, which is rare. We would love to return if we are ever in the area.

Afraid to spill the beans about the Smokehouse in the sleepy Hamlet of Taneytown! SHHHHH! THIS WAS AMAZING! I've found my new forever fine dining spot... How have I missed this for the past 6 years!? I've been looking for just such a hidden gem since I moved back to PA and I feel so fortunate to have had such luck. Please come and savor every single bite. It was nothing short of fantastic! Thank you, Chef for an incredible gustatory evening spent in the garden with friends and family... BRAVO!

We visited the restaurant for the first time for our 22nd anniversary and I can’t believe a restaurant this good exists in Carroll County! This is definitely a special occasion restaurant because it’s a prix fixe menu ($92pp on the weekend). The food was fantastic! It’s more like a 6 1/2 course meal and if you’re a free one drinker, opt for the wine pairing. I chose the smaller 3 course pairing because they are full pours. Our server was as also amazing (young, red hair). Gives me hope that good service isn’t dead yet! Definitely worth the trip and the cost!

We had the most amazing delicious meal. Every course was scrumptious , service was impeccable and we also did the wine pairing. I would definitely recommend this place for a great experience.I will definitely be back !

Our experience at that Smokehouse restaurant was excellent in every way. The food was delicious, the servers were pleasant and courteous and the atmosphere warm and cozy I highly recommend your visiting this venue. I suggest you will love it.
