The Sterling Tavern

Great place to eat in the charming town of Berlin! Went as a group of six and everyone enjoyed their meal. The soft pretzel and crabby fries were great appetizer choices. Our server, Peyton, was very friendly and did an excellent job! We’ll be back!

Very mixed bag. Atmosphere was relaxed. Food was quite good. Service left quite a bit to be desired but then again it's only one person. Waited for EVERYTHING. She seemed to have something really important going on in the back the whole time. And it wasn't just our table. I ordered a burger, wife and oldest ordered smash burgers. All three patties were completely identical. No smash at all. Wasn't asked what temperature I wanted. My youngest got chicken tenders and was thrilled. I tried them and they were awesome.

Fun, funky place, great porch, really friendly and helpful service. We arrived after lunch, fried green tomatoes with crab and wontons was great, hot dogs a bit disappointing (yes, I belong to a hot dog critics group!). Really fun, nice menu of craft beers.

My spinach salad was delicious and loaded with all of the toppings listed on the menu (goat cheese, cranberries, red onion). They definitely didn't skimp there...and a LOT of places do! Our server was super friendly; prices were totally reasonable. I so recommend this restaurant.

Always a good experience at Sterling Tavern. A nice group of people tuned into both the local scene and tourism. It makes for a nicer atmosphere for those of us traveling through. I always sit downstairs in the main area, but I understand the outside patio (in season) and the upstairs are very good as well. Great menu selection. Full of munchies, hearty sandwiches or handhelds & salads. Plenty of seafood options throughout. A couple of my favorites: crab salad on fried green tomatoes Cobb Salad w/ Bacon, hard egg, Avocado, etc and optional seafoods, grill chicken etc. fresh single fried oysters! Yummy! Pair any of this with their nice selection of beers (I know they carry wine I just didn’t pay attention here. Some of the Ale varieties had me at hello!)
