The Strandwich

If I could give this amazing little treasure 6 stars I would! First of all, the deliciousness starts with a huge sandwich menu that has something for everyone. Next the customer service is stellar. We called first and Rick was so friendly, even at an busy breakfast hour. Third, it’s a charming local culture atmosphere with historic Silverstrand photos and artwork, from beach scenes to custom car pics and aerial views of The Strand. A very clean place with efficient use of a small space. Indoor and outdoor tables. Parking is across the street, but you can call in orders and pick up. But, perhaps, most impressive is owner, Madison, has led the category in using tallow as the frying oil, so we can devour our breakfast burrito and brisket croissant without heartburn and inflammation. I was craving a Pastrami sandwich this morning. I googled, came across this place. I drove from Ventura beach, not far. Met Madison, sweetheart. Sandwich was delish😋

Cool little restaurant right near the beach, walking distance from our AirBnB. Ordered the Loco Moco, hamburger patty was good as was gravy, rice, and eggs. Didn't care for the macaroni salad. Coworkers Biscuits and Gravy were good. Coworker's Brisket Breakfast Plate was also good. Vietnamese Coffee was amazing! Cool vibe. Owner/ Manager was very meh, didn't seem interested in talking.

If you’re in the area then this is a must try spot. The service is not the greatest but the food is pretty good.

Great pastrami sandwich. Pastrami is cut thick and is very tender. Tried the Chicken Club as well. Chicken was fried perfectly, and chicken was moist and tender
