The Taco Shop

I went with a party of 3 adults and one child. We went in for a late lunch. 2 of us ordered the lunch special which is 2 tacos, chips and salsa and a medium fountain drink for $12. When we went there was ONE person working the whole restaurant- kitchen and front end. This caused a significant delay in service for the person who ordered ahead of us as my party had questions about allergens. The food portions were honestly disappointing. Most places do 3 tacos with rice and beans, the chips that came with the special were clearly not house made, and stale. The tacos had great taste but just portion wise were very disappointing. We had to go purchase 2 extra tacos and those were an additional $14 for 2 (small) hand sized tacos! I’m not sure if we’ll be going back. I would recommend going down

We finally made it to The Taco Shop and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife and I came in with our two younger sons, which is always the ultimate test of a restaurant (happy kids = win). From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and easy going with no stress, just good food and good people. We ordered a mix of tacos and a chicken bowl, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The tacos were packed, perfectly seasoned, and gone faster than I could think about stealing a bite from my kids. The chicken bowl was hearty, balanced, and one of those meals that leaves you full but already planning your next visit. Great food, friendly staff, and a spot that works just as well for families as it does for a quick, crave-worthy meal. If you’re in Burnt Hills

The best fish tacos in the area, and shrimp tacos too! Food is fresh and delicious. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Staff is very courteous and the food came out quickly. I finally got to try the mango fish taco and it is my current favorite. My husband had the nachos with fried cauliflower and he really enjoyed his meal.

Tried the tacos on Taco Tuesday….loved my fish and shrimp tacos. The street corn taco lacked the char as described on menu and so flavor was simply corn—char would have added another level of flavor. Cashier was lovely though we later realized, according to the menu, that we should have been offered the option of corn vs flour tortillas but all tacos served with flour tortilla. I’d consider it again for easy meal if in that area.

Usually I have a great experience, I sat on posting this for a while. Teenage boys where running the store which usually is no issue. A boy with long curly hair was so rude. He seemed to be annoyed that I came in around 6 to get a bowl. As he rolled his eyes and made me wait to order, as he was in the back talking to another employee who told him to go take the order. I was very unhappy with the process. Now that was one thing but when I got not even what I asked for I was upset. I took it to go to eat at home and did not receive what I asked for. This was on a Friday
