The Tavern @ The Iron Horse

Stopped at the Iron Horse for lunch. Lots of burger options . I chose the jersey burger with an egg. Evan got a plain burger. Nolan decided on spicy chicken and two other salads . The billion $$$$ Bacon was fantastic and same for cheese curds. Thank you for a superb lunch !! Great Service too.

Solid stuff. The buffalo wings are exactly what you want with some good heat attached. The crab cheddar biscuits were soft and had great flavor. Really enjoyed both. No frills caesar salad did not disappoint, either. I go to the craft shows near the train station every so often and always wondered what the best local food spot is, and I think I found it. Will be back in the future to explore the menu.

their own horse has been around for generations. It was a well-known great place to go 20 years ago. It had slipped in recent times was taken over by new management or new ownership not sure but the food is back to a very nice standard and they clean the place up very nicely, so once again it’ll be a pleasure to go there on a regular basis.

I haven't been here since high school and I know they did a major face-lift so I wanted to check it out. The dining room atmosphere was pleasant looking with very dim lighting and rustic decor. The menu is a tad pricey but food presentation is lovely. The totchos and pretzel appetizers were excellent, but a bit salty. The classic burger and veggie burger (falafel) were good but also quite salty. As the dining room filled up, it became very, very hot and stuffy - so much that another patron asked them to open one of the side doors to let in fresh air. There were also suddenly a lot of different tables of screaming kids in the Sun night dinner rush - it was so loud in the echoing dining area, it sounded like a Chuck E Cheese and we suddenly couldn't wait to get our check. Had a great time here, enjoyed their burger with the cheese stuffed in the middle and my wife had the meatloaf special, and forget the affogato for dessert- excellent flavors!
