The Tea Grotto

A great place to explore an amazing tea selection. We got three pots to share, imperial garden (green tea), heavens formosa (oolong) and lap (black tea) with a selection of cakes all infused with tea. The cakes were too sweet for me but probably the best red bean dessert I have had. I am not a fan of redbean

As soon as you enter the space, you can feel an intense calm wash over you. Decor is relaxing but also industrial chic. They've got a full, and I mean FULL, menu of all sorts of types of varieties of teas. Red, white, green, herbal or roobs And they offer to let you smell any of them before committing to a small kettle, which for $4 is great for 8+ cups of liquid zen. There's also a wide range of small snacks, and I chose to pair my chai rooibos with a rosemary shortbread. Loved the spices in both, without being too overbearing. We only hung out for 40min (had an appointment with the cats at the cafe next door) but could have stayed for much longer. Wished there were more comfy spaces to lounge in.

This is a wonderful place we to share a pot of tea with friends. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The place is clean and hip, and offers a cozy setting. The tea selection is great. I would recommend the fig and lavender tea.

This place is THE SPOT! It's been a staple in my life since discovering it in 2015 or 2016. It's where I take anyone visiting town, where I go for my birthday EVERY YEAR, and my go to whenever I am going out with a friend. I will never understand how there's not line out the door every time I visit...I am PRAYING this place stays put FOREVER! Everything about tea grotto is quality! They have so many incredible tea blends, delicious baked goods, picturesque flowering tea, but their STAR (in my opinion) is their Boba!!! There isn't a single place I've ever found to have such consistently perfect boba pearls as this place and they have sooo many great flavors! I personally have crowned the blended Thai tea boba my favorite drink in existence but the chai is a pretty close runner up. The taro,

The gentleman at the front counter was unfriendly from the very beginning. When I walked up, his tone and body language felt dismissive. I said, “Hello, how are you?” and was ignored. I explained that I was looking for the sleepy tea I had purchased there before, but he seemed uninterested in helping. When he returned with the tea already packaged, I said, “Thank you, have a good day,” and was ignored again. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I’ll be leaving a review and will no longer feel comfortable recommending this place to my family and friends, because no one should be treated that way. While I don’t want to make assumptions, it was hard not to notice that when a group of Caucasian men walked up, his demeanor noticeably changed and he became much friendlier. As a Lati
