The Tern Inn

My husband and I have returned to The Tern Inn three times, most recently for our honeymoon! It’s our favorite place on the Cape. John and Lisa are the sweetest inn keepers, and take such great care of their guests. They surprised us with a bottle of wine after hearing it was our honeymoon. They didn’t have to do that but it was so kind of thoughtful! Breakfast has an impeccable level of service and is so delicious. We were originally booked for five nights and added two more. We had to switch for the two additional nights. Lisa prioritized having our room turned over so we could move straight over. We stayed at The Tern Inn for two nights whilst visiting Cape Cod, we chose it because of its location and also from previous reviews and we were not disappointed. John and Lisa made us feel very welcome. The room we chose was in the Carriage House and is exquisitely decorated, very comfortable and very clean (good selection of toiletries - even mouth wash!). There was coffee/tea and also a selection of treats for us to help ourselves too in the room. Breakfast was also excellent (lots of choice). Good parking also for our car rental. We had a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area (very good value for money).

We traveled the entire cape while staying here a few nights and can say after visiting all the main towns and seeing most of the better inns on our drive - this one is right up there. The nearby beach is one of the nicest in that area with a very large parking area and bathrooms. Inn is located mid cape for a pretty easy drive to anywhere. The room was very clean and updated. You can pull up right to your room making loading unloading a breeze. Breakfast included every morning was great with all the basics you would want plus one hot special cooked to order each day. Pool was closed due to the end of the season but also looked very nice. Setting was very quiet and we would highly recommend to anyone.

My husband and I spent a wonderfully relaxing four nights at the Tern Inn. Lisa and John are exceptional hosts - friendly, welcoming, and happy to share their knowledge of local activities. John prepared a tasty hot breakfast each day to complement the fresh fruit, toast, cereal, etc. that was also available. Although our freestanding suite, the Sandpiper, is one of the few that has not yet been fully renovated, it was spacious and comfortable, offering everything we needed for our stay. In addition to our suite, we had access to all of the wonderful amenities offered at the Inn: the pool, living room, dining areas (with snacks, coffee, and tea available all of the time), a spacious yard with some seating areas (I especially loved the Adirondack chairs and swing under the shade tree!), bi

John and Lisa are welcoming and helpful hosts who have thought out all aspects of a comfortable stay, including complimentary snacks in common areas and in the room.|The property is extremely well maintained . Our room in the Carriage House was immaculate. Breakfast is included with many options including a different hot selection every day. Our servers, Tania and Charlotte were friendly, attentive and kind.||It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with an easy walk to a nearby beach.|Bikes, beach chairs and beach carts are provided . The pool area was organized with pool towels and comfortable loungers. ||It was so delightful to relax around the property in peace and quiet- no intrusive music or cell phone chatter.
