The Ukiah Thicket

We would go to the Thicket every day we went hunting, unfortunately those days are over. Opening day of hunting season, they were closed!! Since the change of ownership, everything went downhill. Our average tasting burgers were served in cardboard boats and not on plates like it used to do. The wait staff were slow and not friendly. You would think a greeting with a smile and 'how are you?' would be the standard. Not here. I want the old Thicket back! Fortunately, we found a food cart a block away in the park called Penny's Cafe, the food was excellent and the service was too, we even received a nice greeting and felt afterwards. That's the way to run a business.

Amazing burgers, very nice staff. Small hunting & recreational ranching town that serves local beef options. Family has been coming in four generations now during Deer & Elk season

One of my favorite bars ever. Always love visiting here. Id go out of my way between Pendleton and LA Grande to visit Ukiah for the Thicket.

The Thicket in Ukiah is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely amazing—especially the Sasquatch Burger, which is next-level delicious (those onion rings are the perfect touch). The drinks are top-notch, and what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely great people. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Stop to use the restroom very friendly bathroom clean restaurant clean. Help with information was needed send to the little grocery across the street still had the old wood floors and seen a wooden log truck with a log skidder sitting on the platform of the wooden truck young man built the truck it was in detail beautiful ❤️ work on it
