Customer Reviews
We were only in Williamsburg for 2 days, we wanted some real seafood and after looking over the menu we knew we needed to eat at the Whaling Company. We had the peel and eat shrimp, which came with butter wow usually we have to ask, they were great. My wife got the stuffed flounder and I got the baked tilapia, they were both delicious and to top it off the Caramel pie. Our server Eddie was on top of everything and made the meal more enjoyable. We will be back the next time we are in the area.
My husband and I came here for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. This was on a Saturday just before 6pm (which was kind of early for us but we wanted to beat the dinner crowds). When we walked in, we were seated rightaway in a nice quiet corner. We had a very friendly food server who was took excellent care of us. We were given glasses of water to start with before giving our order and getting a small loaf of bread and whipped butter. When our food arrived, it looked so good I forgot to take a picture before starting on it. I got this very delicious stuffed salmon which came in a very decent and filling portion. I opted for rice pilaf and asparagus to go with it. I also had a glass of chilled chardonnay (didn't take a picture of it). Everything was so good. Food, service and at
We enjoy this restaurant. Nice marine vibe with antique water connected decor, thoughtful and interactive service, tasty food. Tonight we ordered the shrimp cocktail, blackened ahi tuna, baked seafood platter, and brownie with ice cream. The tuna was cooked perfectly with a bit of a kick
Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for those seeking a traditional, reliable seafood experience in a relaxed, thematic environment. Its a locally-owned seafood landmark in Williamsburg, Virginia, known for its classic charm.
Chill atmosphere, polite and professional staff and the best Ribeye and seafood I have ever had!! Only photo is of my Triple Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream, sorry! Main meal was too tasty! Lol
