The Woodhouse Restaurant

Only fried chicken as meat option. Sides were NOT homemade. I was given a piece of stale cake as the only option for desert and told that was the only piece of cake available at all.

Its a small town place. The food is good. Some people are expecting a larger chain feel thats not this place. Its quiet small and the food is good.

Zero stars for the food. We had very high hopes for this restaurant. Facebook made them look good. The prices on the website do not match the menu. Very disappointing. We went for our anniversary and will never go back. My husband ordered the queen cut of prime rib-med rare. There was more fat than meat and med at best and swimming in au jus. I had rib eye with the add on lobster tail. The steak tasted like it came from dollar tree. The lobster was so stuck in the tail, I think I got two and a half bites. It was a $60 meal worth about $25. We did have good service, just lousy food.

When we arrived they said it would be 1.5 hr wait time. Thankfully we had reservations. That was probably the most positive experience of the whole dinner. We had a group of 4, our bill was $180 and all 4 people were very disappointed. We sat down and waited quite awhile. 2 other tables that did not have reservations came in quite sometime later. They were served first and we waited. When we did get our meals they were all cold. The steaks were not edible. No seasoning, very bland and tough. Crab legs were also cold. I would say the best part of dinner was the salad and bread. The waitress was also very friendly and kind. But the meal was awful. We will NOT return!

The people and staff seem very nice. The food though was not great at all. Our party had shrimp Alfredo the shrimp was ok the Alfredo was hard and not much flavor. The Woodhouse steak and mashed potatoes had absolutely no taste at all. The prime rib sandwich came on a hamburger bun that was basically empty and no au ju. Cheese curds and complimentary bread were good. Glazed salmon was also pretty good. Restaurant was not very busy at all and somehow our food ticket was lost making our meal take quite some time. The manager did come out and apologize and let us know what happened. I had high hopes since this is a small town restaurant and I love to support local but I will not be returning!
