The Woods Restaurant at Lambert’s Cove Inn

My wife and I were recently discussing our travels this summer (2024) and the amazing meals we enjoyed. We were in complete agreement that our favorite meal was at Lambert’s Cove Inn during the week of July 4th while on Martha’s Vineyard for the holiday. It was a perfectly lovely experience from our arrival until we departed. We sat in the garden and highly recommend doing so if you are able. We had an early dinner and ended up having the entire garden to ourselves...which made it very special. The garden is such a beautiful, relaxing space for dining. A cool summer evening listening the Cat Birds fly about. The hustle and bustle of the outside world seemed miles away. The hospitality was so welcoming...with Bridget checking in with us at different times though out the evening to make sure

We just had the most wonderful dinner experience at Woods. Bridget and Galen and their team are simply amazing. Our waitress Anna was so professional and kind. I loved my Caesar salad and lamb dish. I will definitely be back soon. I very highly recommend Woods.

This was our second time to The Woods and it was again amazing!! We sat outside in the lovely garden, such a beautiful atmosphere. Food by chef Galen was delicious and Bridget was warm and welcoming as always. We can't wait to go back! Don't miss this amazing restaurant and romantic spot on the island!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant on the island.  We went there last night and dined outside in their gorgeous garden.  With subtle string lighting it felt like we were in Provence.  The food and service were top notch.  The menu is 4 course Prix Fixe and incredibly varied for a small restaurant.  They obviously have a very talented chef as every dish our group had was delicious.  On top of it, the price was very reasonable for the island.  If you want a special night out, I would highly recommend you go here.  And be sure to start with a Lambert's Cove Sunset Spritzer.

This gem is not to be missed! The menu offered great variety. The appetizer portions were appropriate and the entrees were hearty. Delicious all around! The space is romantic with a little rustic whimsy. The caretakers clearly put their heart into the space and service. The service team appeared on the younger side but everyone was charming, attentive, and genuine! I'd definitely recommend arriving early enough to stroll the gorgeous English Garden beforehand!
