Thumbs Up Diner

I woke up wanting pancakes and this was a good choice! When you think of pancakes, you think of I Hop. Well thumbs up has changed all that. The pancakes were big and fluffy. Great taste. The waffle was as described. Crispy on the outside soft in th inside. Grits creamy and served with whatever you want in them. The French toast! A plus! If you get 2 you will be taking one of them home because it was filling. But good food, good service and good atmosphere. Shout out to Matt he was great.

Great portions, friendly service. Food comes out hot. I always have a hard time not ordering the Low Country Heap because it's soo good and filling...enough to take home. This time I tried something different. This is one of my go-to spots.

Omg!! The location in Douglasville is HORRIBLE!!! First my grits were ice cold and lumpy. They brought me out another order of grits and they were cold as well. Second they added cheese to my daughter’s order and she specifically said no cheese and the waiter literally said “they put cheese in your grits” and gave her the plate anyway as if she didn’t have an option so they remade her eggs and this time they were runny and disgusting! Thirdly I’m chewing and it’s crunchy so I spit it out and it was egg shells in my eggs! Our waiter was nice but he was slaking. Lastly, the heater didn’t work and it was freezing inside the restaurant. My coffee got ice cold within 10 minutes of receiving it that’s how cold it was in the place and my waiter never asked if I wanted a refill. Just ughh!

Food is really good. My wife had the french toast it was excellent. My Douglasville scamble added the chicken sausage. Great options if your looking to get a good meal.and eat right or induldge is some french toast.

Don't let the location fool you. The exterior might not look good, but we're here for the food, anyway. The shrimp and grits were amazing. It was one of the best I've had. The French Toast was great, too. Their sassy scrambled was very good. My husband got the Country Heap Skillet and he enjoyed it a lot. Our server was very nice and attentive, too. First time visiting and hopefully not our last.
