Tijuana Flats

I was curious about this place and visited for the first time. It’s more causal than I thought. I thought this might be more a sit down Mexican restaurant but it gives me more Chipotle vibes. Except they do bring you your food. The food and service was good. I just wasn’t blown away by the food. Lots of tortillas chips with the food. The self serve sauce options were fun. There’s nothing wrong with this place but it’s just not my favorite. I may choose other options when I’m in the mood for Tex Mex based on price and overall value.

First time trying this place, and while the flavors were on point, the value just isn't there. $42 got me 6 tacos, a tiny spoonful of rice and beans, and a small pile of tortilla chips – no salsa included! I wouldn't mind the price so much if the tacos were packed, but as you can see in my picture, they're pretty skimpy. Sadly, I won't be back to this location, which is a bummer because the food itself was delicious.

Had the absolute best time coming to this location I’ve been to a few other branches but this one takes the cake enough for me to leave a review. I believe it was Jackson who took my order was awesome helped me figure out what I wanted. He had me get the blackened chicken when I always get ground beef I can truly say Jackson had changed my life and order forever it was so tender and perfectly seasoned. Thank you to this tijauna flats location for restoring my faith in Tex mex and thank you to Jackson for giving my mouth a roller coaster of flavor town!!

During a recent road trip stop in Tallahassee, while waiting for our Tesla to charge, my husband and I went to try Tijuana Flats for a late lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised! I opted for the shrimp bowl, accompanied by tortilla chips and an unsweetened tea, while my husband enjoyed the steak crispy tacos. Both meals were flavorful, fresh, and just what we needed to refuel for the road ahead. What sets this place apart, besides its convenient location (perfect for a quick stop if you're charging your vehicle), is the impressive selection of Mexican hot sauces. The variety available is fantastic, catering to all preferences, whether you favor mild and flavorful or hot and spicy. This was almost going to be a bad review but I was so impressed with the service that I just have to leave 5 stars. The manager on duty at 7:00 pm and the brunette girl working the counter were so kind, patient, and helpful. I appreciate this level of service very much, it makes the experience!! Side note to management: The online order system is very flawed. Whenever I attempt to place a “for now” order to be ready in 15 minutes, it will not print the ticket at the restaurant for atleast 30 minutes. This has been very annoying whenever I am in a rush and expecting the food to be ready upon arrival/very soon on arrival. This experience would have been much worse with bad service but the employees that were working on feb 3 at 7pm made the situation much better.
