Tilden Seafood and Prime Meat Market

I have been enjoying the seafood from Tilden for many years. The fish is exceptionally fresh and Wes and Janet won’t sell it any other way. I have never had a “bad” fillet of fish or shell fish from them ever! The meat department is also very reliable with steaks or chops cut to order. I can’t rave about them enough!

Such a perfect little seafood market. We needed some fish for dinner and walked in at the same time some from Boston was being delivered. The shop is clean and organized. The owner was personable and patient while we decided. Great to chat with and helped us choose some Salmon and Snapper. Both of which were fresh and delicious!

Hands down, this is the best butcher shop, and seafood shop in the area. I bought three New York strips from here and they were quite possibly the best steak I have ever had in my life. And I didn't have to go to a restaurant for it, just a little salt and pepper and cook it to medium rare. He will not find better meat in the area I can promise that, I have not tried their fish yet, but I know the quality from the people that work there, and I know it's top notch. If you're having a party or a some special occasion This is the place to get the high-quality meat you might want to serve.

Love this fish and meat market. It is run by a husband and wife team Wes and Janet. They started as a fish market and expanded it to a meat market as well. The fish is fresh as can be and is delicious. And the meats are wonderful. Don't miss the fabulous pork chops. They always have a special going- last week they made shrimp cakes. OH MY! The salmon burgers are delicious. We so needed a fish market in Litchfield and we got the BEST.

I set a dollar amount and requested meat for dinner. Told them to surprise me. With the pandemic, they dont allow anyone inside (fine by me) so the woman serving us dissappeared inside for a couple minutes and came back out with a white bag. I requested she not reveal the contents and handed her my card. We made it half way home before anyone peaked. Shannon told me we got scallops. Sweet. When we got home i found shrimp under the scallops. Bonus. Just a couple of minutes in butter and the shrimp was fresh out of the water quality and the scallops were sweet. Happy as hell with dinner.
