Family-run restaurant with excellent home style cooking. Best Sichuan and Hunan dishes I’ve had in Ann Arbor, and they cater to a lot of tastes. Owners show a great deal of hospitality. Genuinely an Ann Arbor gem. Go give this mom and pop shop your support!
this was the worst chinese food i’ve ever had possibly in my entire life. i dont usually write reviews but i need to urge people to NEVER come here. my spring roll wasn’t even cooked fully. how can a spring roll be fried on the outside and cold in the middle? the chicken was dry and tasteless. i ordered with two other people and none of us finished our food. so much is being thrown away. we all feel sick, even the rice was bad. ITS RICE… how do you mess up rice? i can’t believe i spent so much money here. tkwu? more like tkyu need to close down.
Authentic Chinese food. Service was very friendly and attentive. They have salt, pepper, sweet plum sauce, and soy sauce at the tables to add to your taste. There’s QR codes at the table for mobile ordering, but the server said they’d take our order directly instead. The sichuan pepper in the Beef with Pickled Pepper was the freshest/strongest I have tasted in Michigan. Super numbing. It’s salty, flavorful, a real rice killer. Not much beef but the bowl is pretty big. Without the rice it’s too salty. The scallion pancake is rather oily but very crispy. Nanjing duck was okay. Moist in some areas, dry&cold in the breast, but I would still order it again. Was told it would take a while upon ordering but it was only 10-15 mins I’d say.
We are soooo happy we gave TK WU a try when visiting Ann Arbor. The food was amazing! I ordered The Broccoli Chicken expecting your run-of-the-mill experience only to have the BEST Broccoli Chicken I’ve ever experienced. You have spoiled me, lovely TK WU, and now every other version will be subpar. The staff were also SUPER adorable. We noticed how cute they were with their regulars and wishing them well and safe travels for the holidays. LOVE IT! They clearly loved their guests and it was precious to see. The restaurant was decorated in red for the holidays and walls were covered with pictures of what appeared to be friends and family. This place was so cozy it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home for lunch. Definitely 10/10 recommend! We can’t wait to come back the next time w
Flabbergasted how we ordered multiple dishes and every single one was pretty bad. Needless to say would not recommend, go to evergreen for decent Chinese food I personally got the twice cooked pork which is popular among my Chinese friends at other restaurants, and it was very disappointing
