To-Kai Sushi, Hibachi Steakhouse and Bar

I’ve celebrated so many special moments here, and it’s always a joy coming back. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, and every visit leaves me with total belly happiness. Great atmosphere, great food, and so many happy memories made at this place.

I had an extremely disappointing and disturbing experience at To-Kai. In the middle of my meal, I found a cockroach in my food. As horrifying as that was, the way the staff handled the situation made everything worse. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of how serious the issue was, and no reassurance that they would investigate or correct the problem. The manager came over, took a look at the cockroach, and then promptly left towards the kitchen. We did not see her again after that. When the check came, they put an X over the duck roll that I ordered, and told us to have a goodnight. We were left feeling dismissed and ignored, and the lack of basic accountability was shocking. First time to come here and it was a delight. I ordered the Lenny Roll and also had the Steak and Chicken Hibachi. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented. The staff was very friendly and attentive which is hard to find as a general rule. One other thing to mention is that the immediate brought out the soup with YumYum sauce and the Ginger sauce. The Ginger sauce isn’t always available at every restaurant so it was great that this place offered it. FYI - YumYum is for the meat and Ginger for the veggies. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

We got the Vietnamese roll topped with spicy tuna dressing crab meat, cucumbers, spring lettuce and green spinach (to the left green rolls) and then we got Russian family roll with shrimp and last but not least crunchy Shrimp Dragon roll. Our server gave us hot wet wipes prepackaged, and was kind, attentive and gave us space. She was very professional in customer service experience! Thank you to her! The small vase of flowers are only for decoration not to take home. Those are real flowers! I’m definitely coming back again either alone or with company!

This has become the favorite Sushi / Hibachi place for my wife and I. There are a lot of choices for sushi in the area and we tried many of them, always looking for a better roll or gyoza. After trying To-Kai we stopped "shopping around" and just keep coming back. The staff have always been exceptionally friendly.
