It is really open and has plenty of seating. It has a great selection of food and beer. They have there own beer and guest beer too. There beer taste amazing I got me some to take home.
As a fellow veteran, I was in town working near by and decided to try Tobacco Wood Brewing. I am not one to leave a review but I felt I needed to. I ordered the smash burger and tots. Good food. The wait staff on the other hand was cordial but not at all hospitable. I thought maybe I had a sign on my forehead for no one to speak to me. A gentleman brought me a sauce I thought came with my tots. I leaned that it was brought out to me by mistake. I was charged for the sauce. Yea it’s .50 cents but it the principle. I don’t know anyone’s name other what was on my receipt. Hannah. I pride in seeing fellow veterans succeed. But the wait staff was way off.
Overall Rating: 4.2/10 The venue offers a spacious setting with a relaxed atmosphere, but the culinary experience falls short of expectations. While the environment is inviting and clean, the food's lack of flavor and dryness detracts from the overall dining pleasure. Atmosphere: 6.1/10 The establishment provides a comfortable and unhurried vibe, allowing guests to enjoy their meal without feeling pressured. Its spaciousness, coupled with clean indoor/outdoor seating options, adds to the appeal, although the decor is described as unique yet basic. Service: 5.2/10 The service model, offering both tab and upfront payment options, is friendly and accommodates different preferences. The half-service, self-seating approach works well within the casual setting. Food: Signature Burger: 4.1/10
This was our first trip to the Durham location, and we loved it just as much as the Oxford location. The staff was extremely friendly, the service was really fast, and the food was delicious. There’s plenty of seating, enough for large groups and small, and it looks like they have specials throughout the week, along with other activities. There were several things on the menu that looked good, so we’ll definitely be back to try something else. Oh, and of course the selection of beer is great, and I loved the sours that I ordered.
For those seeking an exceptional handheld experience paired with a commendable selection of local beers, this spot is a standout. The triple smash burger comes highly recommended, offering a robust and satisfying option for discerning palates.
